Spanning an entire hillside in Ross is the palatial 325 Upper Toyon Road, a 4.5-acre property that includes a huge multilevel main home, a pool, poolhouse and guest house and is now for sale for $16.5 million.
The design is that of architect Andrew Skurman, who revamped the original 1940s home in 2004 to meet the owner’s desire to make the most of the natural setting. “We tried to unite the natural outdoors and the sweeping views of Mount Tamalpais with the color schemes and luxurious hardwoods,” said seller Jeff Lyons.

The home is built in “Santa Barbara style,” with a center courtyard and Spanish-looking curves and roof tiles.

The living room has 14-foot beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace, as well as views of Mount Tamalpais from the windows and balcony.
