Oakland A’s legendary executive Sandy Alderson has a fat pitch for you: Buy his opulent Tiburon home with postcard views of the San Francisco Bay and Mount Tamaplais from every room for $5.25 million.

Alderson was predecessor and mentor to Athletics general manager Billy Beane, and is currently a senior adviser with the team. He helped lead the A’s to to a World Series championship in 1989, and the New York Mets to a National League pennant in 2015.

His four-bedroom, six-bath home at 12 Midden Lane sits atop a hill on a cul-de-sac. Built in 1992, the home has never before been for sale. The listing agent is Jean Pral of Compass.

The 4,897-square-foot home, which hit the market Wednesday, was meticulously designed by Internationally renowned architect, Nick Brereton in collaboration with Penny Whiting of PW Interiors.

“The elegant entry flows effortlessly into a luxurious living room with picturesque (San Francisco) skyline views, oak flooring, cathedral ceilings, stone fireplace and complete with a private view deck, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with guests,” according to the official listing. “The entertaining can continue into a spacious, formal dining room with breathtaking views. This graceful flow of indoor/outdoor living spaces is one of many stand-out features of this home.”

There’s an open chef’s kitchen with granite center island, a classic six-burner Wolfe stove, top of the line stainless appliances, walk-in pantry and spectacular views of miles of open space.

There is a spacious family room with a fireplace that opens up to an outdoor area, pool and spa. The open space and hiking trails surrounding iconic Ring Mountain can be seen off the pool area.

The listing calls the master suite—with its skyline views, private deck, fireplace and generous “His and Hers” walk-in closets — “romantic.” The master bathroom features Calacatta marble finishes, radiant floors, double vanity sinks, shower and a luxurious free standing, MTI Andrea Sculpted tub, according to the listing.

There are also two additional spacious en-suite bedrooms with walk-in closets and a laundry room.

The lower level of the home features another floor of living space, including a media/family room, spacious en-suite bedroom and a potential fitness/office space. French doors open to a private yard with views “making this level perfect for an au-pair, in-laws or the luckiest of teens,” the listing says.

There’s a three-car garage and garden/potting room, too.

Alderson also served as executive vice president for baseball operations for Major League Baseball.
