At 84 years old, silver screen legend Robert Redford has lived a life that has taken him around the globe, but Sundance, Utah, is particularly special to the Oscar winner. Redford and his wife began buying land in Utah in 1961, and Redford famously went on to form the Sundance Institute and later the Sundance Film Festival. Now, the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid star is ready to part with one of his properties in the area. Redford has listed his 30-acre Horse Whisper Ranch for $4.9 million.

The new owner will not only be buying gorgeous land surrounded by mountains, but also a small farmhouse, a wood shop, another building the listing calls a “garden hobby house,” three barns, and horse stalls. This is all located roughly 16 miles north of Sundance proper.

“For the last 25 years, my family and I have loved and embraced this ranch as a base for our horse program, running clinics and serving as a home for our many beloved horses,” Redford told the Wall Street Journal in an email of his decision to list the property. “Looking ahead, we want to focus on expanding the facilities at our ranch located at Sundance in nearby Provo Canyon.”See the video.

The ranch’s name is a play on the 1998 film The Horse Whisperer, which Redford starred in and produced. WSJ reports that Redford sold another property, the Sundance Mountain Resort, last year, but that he still owns another ranch nearby.
