A classic Craftsman home in the Claremont area of Berkeley has sold for $4.25 million, or $1.5 million over its original asking price of $2.75 million.
The 3,076-square-foot house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms; it was built in 1911 and has modern conveniences throughout. These include a chef’s kitchen, retractable screen/projector and home sound system, among other features. Other bells and whistles include a wine cellar, two-car garage and sunroom. The outside areas have also been thoughtfully landscaped with a fountain, patio and deck.
Julie Nachtwey with Compass was the listing agent.
The home received nine offers — eight over asking — and sold in just 10 days.
