Carlos Santana, the legendary guitar icon who grew up in San Francisco’s Mission District, has put his private Bay Area retreat up for sale.

Nestled on a slope in Tiburon, the four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home has 3,785 square feet of space and elaborate views of San Francisco. Santana bought the home in 2007.

The architecture is a contemporary style that offers clean lines and quality craftsmanship. The entry features an “acoustical dome” leading into the main living spaces with hardwood flooring and walls of windows framing the bay views. The main level’s primary suite also comes with water views. The grounds offer multiple entertaining areas, and the house also has a two-car garage and motor court for multiple vehicles.

The asking price is $5,777,000; Compass agent Shana Rohde Lynch is the listing agent.

The home hit the market recently on the heels of the rock star buying a $20.5 million vacation home on the Hawaii island of Kauai. He had previously bought a property there for $8 million and then listed it for $12.9 million before upgrading last month.
