A Mid-Century Modern home in Pasadena, California, overhauled by an architecture firm led by a former South Pasadena mayor, has come to the market.
Tucked away behind steel gates, the low slung limestone home, built in 1956 by prolific California architect Theodore Pletsch, hit the market Thursday for just short of $9 million.
Located just minutes from the city’s famous Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens, the six-bedroom spread has been transformed by architecture firm Stamps & Stamps, whose president is former South Pasadena mayor Odom Stamps, alongside interior design firm Colab House.
“With a nod to Hollywood Regency architecture, this modern, organic residence has been transformed to welcome the California lifestyle,” reads the listing with Michele Downing at Compass and Aaron Kirman and Holland Ashrafnia of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass.
