U.S. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn sells her L.A.-area home for super-Gs
As she prepares for her last events at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn has wrapped up some business away from the slopes, selling her home in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles for $3.65 million.
The contemporary-style house, built in 2016, has a glass-enclosed entry and open-plan living spaces popular with today’s developers. A floating staircase, custom blown-glass fixtures and Porcelanosa tile further the polished vibe throughout.
A modern wall fireplace creates a focal point in the great/living room. The custom Miton kitchen, which features a wood-trimmed island/bar, opens to the dining area. An office/den, four bedrooms and 3.75 bathrooms also lie within more than 4,000 square feet of living space.
Outdoor amenities include a zero-edge swimming pool surrounded in decking. A front-facing terrace creates an additional 400 square feet of living space and holds a fire pit.
Vonn, 33, was the overall World Cup champion from 2008 to 2010 and again in 2012. She has won two Olympic medals, including a gold for downhill and a bronze in super-G in 2010 at the Vancouver Games.
On Saturday in Pyeongchang she finished sixth in the super-G. She will compete in the women’s downhill on Wednesday and in the women’s combined event on Thursday.
Vonn bought the house two years ago for $3.55 million, records show.
Gregory Masi of Pacific Union International was the listing agent. Bryce Pennel of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyer.
