Open House Obsession: Astounding Views From a Classic Marin Cottage, $4.5M
Where: 87 San Carlos Avenue, Sausalito
When: Sunday, April 23 from 1:00pm-4:00pm
What: A classic 4-bed, 3.5-bath Marin cottage, high above Sausalito with spectacular views of Tiburon and Angel Island, San Francisco Bay and The City, remade for the 21st Century by designer Brad Krefman of BK Interior Design. Below, the spacious but sheltered entry patio can double as outdoor entertaining space.
Below, a walk through the house and you encounter the sweeping views.
Showing away its East Coast roots (and probably built by ship’s carpenters) it’s a very simple, diginified center hall house with generous proportions.
The dining room’s pendant light (along with other light fixtures in the house) was handcrafted in Sausalito by Robert Long Lighting. Tech-wise, the house features a full suite of Nest products, including security cameras.
What We Love: A disciplined and simple palette make the interior easy on the eye and brings the outside in.
Upstairs, the master suite– which includes a dressing room, marble bath and private study– looks like it would be hard to leave. Another bedroom and bath complete the upper level; the lower level has a pair of bedrooms, a famlily/media room and a large laundry/utility room.
More: Have a look at Pacific Union agent Eric McFarland’s outstanding dedicated site for the property for additional images plus details and floor plans.
